There does seem to be a lot of fluff. But if the AI knew it was fluff, assumedly it wouldn't have added it. I actually did just ask it to reduced the codebase and it started mashing lines together to be smaller.

My primary point is that vibe coding seems to encourage reliance on AI the more it is used. Which happens to be in the best interest of the vibe coding providers. There's a deviousness there

As far as tests go, that would be a better approach if I clearly define them with my expectations. And I make myself responsible for keeping them up-to-date

Code base size doesn't correlate to complexity though.

Me trying AI vibe coding:
AI creates program with a slew of stuff in a way I wouldn't do it, but it kinda works. I ask AI to enhance it because I'm reluctant to interact with its mess. More complexity is added, and I'm further from wanting to touch the code and would need to rely on the AI even more
