One thing that is apparent from ICE & SAVE Act discourse: Republican legislators & executive branch folks, who have staff do everything for them, have no idea what a Real ID is.

It shows how out of touch they are with average Americans.

The Dem candidates have been making their way through our neighborhood through meet & greets at homes. They have all conflicted with my schedule, but I have noticed that Bottoms is very absent from multiple rotations.

I have not been up on this, but the demise of the Factbook has been a big topic of discussion among high school teachers who used it as a teaching tool.

Add The Pitt and you have an excellent workplace show trifecta.

It depends on the doctor. My husband’s prep was so easy and mine was horrible so I am switching practices when I need my next one. Worth asking what the prep is before booking an appointment!

I like neither Ezra Klein nor shouting down speakers. I think Ezra Klein profits, metaphorically and literally, by being shouted down by Sarah Lawrence students, and that doing it to him was more or less like trying to discourage a dog by throwing bacon at it.

A judge has ordered the release of Twin Cities independent journalist Georgia Fort this afternoon, rejecting the U.S. government’s claims that her allegations constitute a crime of violence that necessitate keeping her detained.

Trying to figure out how @dekalbcoschools.bsky.social has not cancelled Saturday activities yet.

Some of these events require complex transportation arrangements for families since they are not at home schools.

Just installed dashcams & signed up for ICE observer training because ICE just set up a field office and is misbehaving around our schools.

Is that what the working families in the US want? In your district?

How ICE Already Knows Who Minneapolis Protesters Are

A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by name—citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.

It sounds funny, but I honestly think it’s because we grew up before No Child Left Behind, which changed teacher credential laws. Too many in our generation had social studies taught by phys ed teachers.

The Boomers grew up with 60s unrest/Vietnam draft/Nixon so more lived experience.

Press conferences and social media posts have not changed conditions on the ground. Another person taken today off of Central Ave and Northeast middle school had to delay letting kids leave because of ICE presence in the area. The federal government continues to make our community less safe.

Man…. Fuck him.
