07.02.2026 19:22 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, there's an old issue for this. I think the chain of events described is the same as is happening here.
07.02.2026 19:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I can create a post record directly on my PDS rather than through the bsky client. This bypasses any logic in the bsky client that prevents me from seeing that user's posts if they had me blocked.
I would expect the bsky client to not surface those reposts (an "is blocked" check, basically).
also, this seems a bit like a hole in the platform. i cannot prevent a bot from retweeting my posts, even when blocked.
if a block is meant to be nuclear, then why is the client allowing a direct PDS record to surface onto the platform?
i may be missing something obvious that explains it.
kinda surprised it hasn't been banned yet. if it was some random community then yeah, it might get missed.
this is literally the name of the protocol this platform is built on. you'd think someone in a leadership position would squint for a second and take action.
so, any plans for moderation to be done on the at proto bot? seems like clear spam. maybe not malicious, but not valuable to anyone.

but alas, the old gods decided to curse me and so I must suffer.

06.02.2026 19:24 β π 270 π 62 π¬ 2 π 1I should actually use this thing sometime though. Film is just expensive and a lot of work :β(
06.02.2026 15:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Having a film camera on my desk is a fun fidget toy to play with while CI/CD runs.
06.02.2026 15:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ah never mind then.
06.02.2026 13:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Are you streaming from windows? Thereβs a headless display driver that works pretty well. I used to use a dummy hdmi plug beforehand.
06.02.2026 13:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0so to recap, the posts I put almost no thought into and just spit out in between meetings at work are the ones that do the best. also sprinkle in some self-deprecation and its perfect.
got it. i understand the meta now π
When you get corporate ITs worst VM running a CI/CD worker for your longest build process.
(I usually cancel and gamble for another lmao)
actually that sounds incredible

05.02.2026 18:44 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0How do people actually look for jobs now a days? I assume we just all do the LinkedIn/Indeed/etc song and dance still, even with as bad as it is.
Iβd network but uhh, that requires knowing people.
Rare music recommendation from me that isnβt japanese.

Idk hereβs the repo. Go read the docs, I havenβt finished them though. Also, hereβs a screenshot of my terminal with no scaling on my 4k monitor.
jj is actually Git-compatible so you can use it on existing projects without your collaborators needing to know that you are.. of course, you will tell them anyway
05.02.2026 01:39 β π 114 π 13 π¬ 1 π 0First time playing with the ast module in Python. This is pretty nice. Makes it easier to do codegen without using excessive string building.
I was initially not looking forward to this part, but it might not be too bad actually.
