I've only been working in the U.S. for 21 years, so my social security isn't a lot every month. I just received a statement from Social Security today telling me what my increase for 2026 will be.
2.8% to be exact. That will give me an increase per month of $19.

Of all countries, ours should be doing this 😡

I've always loved just salami in my sandwich.

Our society is so disgustingly wasteful. There are people hungry out there, not to mention the whole overproduction of the turkeys themselves.

As a Brit, Thanksgiving was never a thing for me until I came to live in the U.S. It still isn't. (though the food part is good and it makes my mother-in-law happy to have family with her). Being thankful is a good thing, even in dark times.

So, I am thankful for all of you. Gives me hope.

I read a book in my teens that was literally named "Life After Death." I have been fascinated ever since.

Perhaps it's the hope that it won't be "the end" so to speak, but another existence.

It does give me hope.

I want him and his entire administration investigated and fully prosecuted so their careers are completely destroyed and they have to live without any benefits.

Oh and I want him dragged out of the White House in an orange suit and shackles.
