It isn't unusual for medicines to be tested against other disease. It makes sense, known product, know manufacturing process. If it can be effective it would be a huge time saving. Existing drugs were tested for Covid (but found ineffective).

We will return to needing a vaccine passport to enter. When my family migrated to Aus in 1964 from the UK there were extensive medical checks & required vaccines. Stricter then than now.
