Good morning! Just a few dahlias left, including this โCrazy Loveโ. It wasnโt the best year in terms of quantity, but theyโre still as lovely as ever. ๐ฑ

I've told you before that Betty says some weird things.
She said this photo makes it look like I am 'on the prowl'.
There are too many words for me to learn and I just can't be bothered.
The main thing is that she says she loves me, and I certainly understand that!

Sounds wild. The first episode of an inspiring new podcast from @biologicaldiversity.org on fighting the extinction crisis. This episode features Tierra Curry, hellbenders, monarch butterflies, freshwater mussels and converting despair into hope.

11.09.2025 20:09 โ ๐ 254 ๐ 18 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Hello running/cycling/triathlon Bluesky. Iโm replacing my wahoo heart rate monitor because it goes through batteries like water. Iโm debating between a polar and a garmin. Internet reviews are mixed. Does anyone have a strong opinion? Iโm would love to be convinced
19.08.2025 19:02 โ ๐ 15 ๐ 4 ๐ฌ 14 ๐ 0Cycling only - my Garmin seems to last about a year. I do unsnap the sensor when storing the unit. I have no evidence of passive discharge but just a precaution. One thing, the four screws holding it together are TINY.

out with friends today, scouting out more of the Mass Central Rail Trail. this is the old railroad tunnel in Clinton, MA. eventually the trail will pass through it.

Our paths make no separation between cyclists and foot traffic.
26.07.2025 20:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Totally agree for the most part. My concern (and Iโve enjoyed paceline riding in the low 20mph range- Iโm 75+) is a line of 5-6 negotiating around hikers, leashed pets, children etc. on a two lane path at any speed. A dedicated bike lane would be nice.

26.07.2025 17:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I would add a 12-15mph speed limit and no pavements, from my experience in Western Ma. as both a hiker and cyclist in the MCRT. Faster and lines belong on the road. IMHO
26.07.2025 17:57 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's like the sophon in Three Body Problem - extends into 9 dimensions :-). Seriously, I think your tent designer developed our cat's travel enclosure for car trips. It literally sprung itself into shape from the bag but there was no way to get it back into the bag (the enclosure, not the cat). :-)
