I teach struggling readers in middle school (HMH's Read 180 program) and I think normally I read 1-2 books a month for fun but now...it depends. Full-time job + grad school so yeah.

My goal was to read 25 books for fun this year. I'm on #15. I am a full-time teacher (middle school English now) and part-time grad student.

We loved Season 1, but this season has been a slog. We have 3 more episodes to go before finishing off Season 2. I am on the fence about a Season 3. I have noticed the lack of hype around it this year. It could be just a sophomore slump though. Hard to tell yet.

The struggle is real. Lucy woke me up 15 minutes before my alarm today.

Friends, I slept until 1:00 PM today. I have completed three weeks teaching students at my new job. I switched from high school to middle

Well I survived new teacher training in my new district and I am so glad I left my old district. Now, I have 2 more weeks of training before I meet my students but the staff here has been so warm and welcoming so far.

I just finished high school English Year #2 and I feel like I haven’t taught them anything other than the expectation to hear “It’s on Canvas” 10,000 times daily. 😫

But I have read Wuthering Heights so hopefully that redeems me a little bit.
