Sheba is doing a scamper.

Words I just didn’t think I’d be saying “Can you go ahead and sweep up the dead lizard? I’ll clean up the broken glass, but I had to deal with the lizard yesterday.”

Halloween houses are out. I think I need a Halloween train.

It is lovely and cool outside. Time for a last fill of the hummingbird feeder for any migration stragglers. I know my backyard crew has moved on because I no longer have winged needles flying at my face and yelling at me when I go near the feeder, reminding me to clean out the ants.

Have you ever woken up from a dream and had a fleeting thought that something you dreamed was extremely important? Apparently for me it was “make sure you watch out for the evil fish”.

I was cutting up boxes for recycling and a piece of cardboard fell on the floor.

I hope nobody at work got/gets Raptured because I’ll just end up doing their job for six months while admin decides if they really need to be replaced.

Y’all, since Prussia has had some problems of lady continence problems, her fur in her back end was matted and had to be shaved. My poor fluffy dog now has visible ass cheeks and I am not sure how I feel about this.

Every time I take Prussia to the groomer, I am grateful that she has had the same groomer since she was a puppy and that I can never tip that woman enough for putting up with a German Shepard with anxiety issues.

PSA for US healthcare friends: If you were trying to wait until the end of the year to schedule a test because you needed to meet your deductible, call and ask to be scheduled NOW. The office I work in is already scheduling tests into end of November and early December.

Just opened a package of cheese that said it had eight servings, so I am pretending to be eight different people since I will be eating all of it.

Prussia the dog’s arch enemy, Luna the dog, has been barking at her for the last hour. Every time I throw a frisbee Prussia runs to the fence and prances back and forth with it like she is showing off. The rivalry is real.

Everyone please admire Mina who has spent the last hour grooming herself to look exactly the same as when she started.

No one ever plays ball with Prussia.

Both of my adult children alerted me (separately and with great enthusiasm) about the frog on our front porch. This is how you know you have succeeded as a parent.
