CrossCountry has to be the worst UK train company doesn't it? Trains are always jam packed, with mostly reserved seats. This is why I travel to Aberdeen via London rather than the west coast mainline.

I agree with everything other than flashing modes as I think they help, particularly in daylight or in urban areas. They could be replaced by the need to have a pulsing mode or something more amenable to group riding though.

Why do drivers bang on about cyclists wearing hi viz and helmets when they can't even avoid poles that have lights on them? If they can knock over a metal pole then a helmet won't do much.

They could easily take out a lane of parked cars or that right turn lane. Our obsession with cars is suppressing free enterprise!

This gets on my goat. The answer is enforcement of current laws not frothing! But then they struggle to enforce the current laws for cars.
