They're going to be blaming parents and scientists for it, and probably sending lots of parents into a frenzy over whatever dumb new "cures" they'll espouse. Meanwhile, they're defunding actual scientific research and services that would help autistic children and adults. It's just disgusting.

I get how desperate parents can be for answers when it comes to something so difficult, but blaming something genetic or occasionally environmental on vaccines, pregnant mothers taking Tylenol and god knows what else they'll site is just maddening and insulting.

The more science disinformation the government puts out, the more sad I'm getting about RFK's upcoming bullshit announcement of the "causes" of autism. I have a non-verbal autistic toddler and every day of my life is spent getting him help and services.

Yeah, exactly. I just wish I knew how to focus my attention on “what did I do wrong and how can I improve?” Without it feeling like I’m taking on some big task.

The question I ask myself with skill in fighting games is “are people that good having more fun than I am when I play?” Online and at tournaments I’m sure the answer is yes, but with friends I’m sure it’s about the same. I love playing but don’t want the stress. Maybe I’m just not competitive 🤷‍♂️
