Q3: Sometimes! I often muse on cycles (of violence, of abuse, of love). Sometimes the character pulls deeper (ala sunk costs) into the cycle at hand, clearly rearing up for another go, other times they are clearly ruined forever, ye good olde driven mad.

I'm Daniel! I write horror plays, which means I dabble the most with psychological or cosmic horror, but I try to play with everything. No matter how dark it gets, the humor comes too, but my anxiety probably wins the fight.

My style may come through my stage direction or premises more than my dialogue, but I try hard for characters reacting realistically to unrealistic situations. It usually results in cursing, fear musing, and rocky sensory dreamscapes. You can break a lot of "rules" in theatre

I love a destabilizing moment of "wait, I'm a robot?" or "wdym this unlimited bread deal is literal & I'm trapped in a bread purgatory until I can eat it all?"

For theatre tricks, I love playing with sensory things. Where characters hear screams audiences don't or vice versa.

It's definitely a different beast. I love the puzzle though sometimes.

Can playwrights get in on this? A lot of my stuff is cosmic or psychological horror since it's for a live medium.
