The S in SMART stands for securing guns in homes and vehicles. “Hiding” a gun in a nightstand, in a glovebox compartment, on a high shelf is NOT secure storage.

Secure storage means making sure guns are always inaccessible to kids —stored unloaded & locked, with ammunition stored separately.
