Honestly not a bad concept for a zombie movie.

The world is chaos and misery and I just want to chill and make stuff. No AI and no fascism, please.
Honestly not a bad concept for a zombie movie.
21.02.2026 19:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Recently listened through ~24 hours of Yale lectures in a course about Don Quixote. I wonder if I am prepared to read the book now.
21.02.2026 18:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A small unfired clay sculpture of a head, one half of the face normal and the other just stripes. There are other clay sculptures in the background.
Meep moop. Clay stuff.

21.02.2026 17:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ugh, yeah losing things is one of the most frustrating things I know. It's something about the powerlessness of realizing something is just gone.
20.02.2026 16:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The reason why I tried to photo it was because I was considering just destroying the unfinished part. Like, making holes in it or something. Though, maybe I'll just turn it into some sci-fi mutant like thing instead. Hm.
20.02.2026 16:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A photo of an unfinished clay head on a white desk, with very light shadows as if the contrast was turned down.
Photos are weird. The shadows are so light here for some reason and the face looks so different. Taking photos of things is hard.
But it's kind of cool how the unfinished side of the face makes it look more like a drawing, without details in the shaded parts.
My next book will be my 10th published book (16th if you count the six I unpublished because my writing got better)! Which is a lot when you consider I didn't ever imagine trying to write anything for the majority of my life. Which is to say, try stuff... you never know!
13.02.2026 22:45 β π 87 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Happy Friday the 13th to all who celebrate.
13.02.2026 05:46 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fourteen different doll faces made out of stoneware clay laying on a desk.
Could be time to paint some of them, like, soonish.
30.01.2026 09:34 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0A greenware stoneware clay figure, humanoid but with a mouth going all across the head and with holes between the ribs. A hand for scale is in the photo as well.
Not sure if I like this one or not. But I have decided that if I work on something for a few hours I might as well just fire it. It's not a large amount of clay anyway so doesn't really cost me.
30.01.2026 09:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A hand holding a doll's face. The face is gritting it's teeth. Behind, on the desk, lays more dolls faces and other clay stuff in similar size.
GRRR
30.01.2026 09:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Small clay objects on a desk. They are shaped like animal skulls and human faces.
Doing a bit of a "cabinet of curiosities" aesthetic, but where I make all the stuff myself. One day I have to get (or make) a proper cabinet to store things in.

When you feel like you need a break from the clay thingy you're sculpting but the clay dries out fast so if you take a break it'll be too dry.
28.01.2026 13:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An unfired clay figure, the torso and head of a skeleton-like person. The clay has not fully dried yet.
Greenware clay skeleton person. Has since this photo dried fully and is now waiting on a shelf by the kiln.

Same for me.
26.01.2026 21:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And a couple more faces! This time I tried adding facial hair to one of them.
25.01.2026 06:52 β π 7 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks! Felt like most faces I make have quite neutral expressions so I wanted to work with some variety!
25.01.2026 06:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A repost...
'Cat Burglar' ~ Wooden spoon carved in Maple wood with waxed linen and rhinestones.
Three clay faces on a desk, a hand holding up two of them slightly.
Together with a hand to better show scale.
21.01.2026 09:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Four unfired doll faces, made in white stoneware clay, laying on brown paper. They have different facial expressions, three of them being more realistic human faces and one more stylized.
Making faces!

One thing about working with clay is you'll be aware of how quickly your nails are growing.
15.01.2026 06:27 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm mega stuck. If I could take this stuck and turn it into a glue it would be the best glue.
13.01.2026 15:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Same, actually! And yea, it's definitely a good thing. How to fall more safely should be taught in school. I still usually still call it a somersault though, I think. I haven't thought about it.
13.01.2026 14:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is "somersault" the only English word for that rolling motion you can do? It sounds aggressive or complicated. Like, sure, it's when gymnasts do it but what is it when normal people do it?
Anyway, I was outside today and did a somersault in the snow. Like a child.
"Coffee" and "coughing" sound pretty similar but are very different ways to start your day.
11.01.2026 12:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It may not be a creepypasta... but it can become one.
09.01.2026 13:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Made myself a cup of tea and a cup of coffee at the same time and had milk in both. Now I'm sitting here comparing colours. I think the tea is slightly warmer and more saturated. The coffee is a bit more grey, ironically.
09.01.2026 11:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh, baby animals aren't just small versions of the adults anymore?
