Damn right. There's still time to transform a wasted govt into a transformational one. It's not as though nobody knows what needs doing, or we're lacking ideas about how.

Labour built the NHS in 3 years, and transformed the nation. They can this too. It just takes will.

McSweeney is gone. Time for Starmer to try to salvage his government by launching long overdue proper action to address all the flaws in our political system - peerages, patronage, cronyism, party finances, MPs revolving door, appointments, ministerial code, business interests, Leveson, etc etc.

With McSweeney now gone and presumably with it his grip on the NEC; with Streeting too close to Mandelson to challenge Starmer, & Rayner still embroiled in tax dispute; how long before another Manchester MP offers their seat for Burnham to run?

The absolute most useful thing McSweeney could do right now is take all the blame himself and let Starmer sack him.

That that isn't happening is yet more terrible judgement from Starmer and more prioritisation of his grasp on power over everything and everyone else by McSweeney.

As far as Nigel Farage is concerned, let us remind ourselves that he said if we left the EU it would be £350 million a week for the NHS - that didn’t happen. He said if we left the EU there would be less red tape for trading into Europe - try telling that to any business that is trading into Europe.
