3) Finally I will say that Adele is a pragmatic idealist. She has a solid moral core but is flexible in her thinking. She won’t get stuck in the idea that there is only one way to reach a goal, but she won’t throw vulnerable groups under the bus to get there.

2) Adele always shows up.

We have been legal observers together for the better part of a decade. I trust her to show up on the ground for threatened communities. I trust her to make good decisions under pressure.

She’s shown up for me countless times. I am thrilled to show up for her in this.

1) Adele is my go-to friend for difficult questions/conflict.

And, inevitably, when I am stuck in my own perspective, Adele challenges me to see the other side.

It is easy in any conflict to believe the other side is unreasonable, but you can’t start there and expect to get anywhere.

Adele is a person who I’ve wished I would one day have the chance to vote for. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
