I will pitch you two books: if you're after a cosy old fashioned romance, Mary Stewart's Thornyhold. If you're after something else, Joan Aiken's The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, or any of the books in that series. Or of course, the middle book in your tbr, which is magically perfect :)

I do an oil treatment on my hair, because it's kind of long and I'd like it to stay in good condition. I tried a new one last week, which mostly smelled of peppermint, which is so not my fav that its off the list. This week was another new one, mostly smelling of rosemary. So much better!

Photo shows my 3d printed spindle with the spun yarn below. It's actually very difficult to balance it for photography! The spindle has a red shaft and a gold coloured whorl, and the yarn is pale blue/grey.

I've done about half of this, and maybe if I'd spun it straight away it would be less sticky and slightly felty. #SpindleSpinning #FiberArts

Photo shows two lengths of fibre, both still need much manipulation to make them spin nicely. I believe it is merino, and it is a pale blue/grey colour, resting on my blue jeans.

Preparing some quite felty fibre for spindle spinning, I've got quite a lot of this (actual quantity unknown) and want to finish it now so I can ply and knit it! Intending to do a chain ply 3ply. #SpindleSpinning #FiberArts

Morning Womble, I'm good and hope you are too! I ran through Stephanie Burgis's A Marriage of Undead Inconvience and A Honeymoon of Grave Consequences as a quick change and thoroughly enjoyed them. Also got distracted by the latest Clarkesworld. Regular large series reading will resume shortly.

A cautionary tale: I bought some ebooks direct from an author. Downloaded to my ereader. And then could not find them and thought I'd mis remembered.

Turns out the ebook files had a typo. FYI, check the file names before downloading to ereader!

Just imagining some Flash Harry style "psst, want some stickers?" Opening the coat and gesturing at the sheets of stickers attached to the inside, yeah very silly idea which is great!

Managed an entire chapter of AK Faulkner's Runes of Fall, so I'm calling it a win!

I put "Photo shows" or "picture shows" and then describe the photo, i.e. "Photo shows my current knitting WIP which is a white blanket made of fine yarn, sitting on my lap. The yarn is very fine and is causing swearing."

There's also a setting somewhere you can turn on that will remind you of it.

Once, not too long ago, there was a young fan who wanted to nominate her favorite book of the year for the Hugo Award. She kept planning to pick up her Worldcon membership, but left it until January 31. On February 1, she woke up and realized that she'd forgotten! She'd left it too late.
