Diprotodontians Forever: the Vombatiform Radiation, Part I β€” Tetrapod Zoology If you’re a regular reader here you might recall me making occasional lamentations about the near-absence of marsupial-themed content here. The recent Thylacoleo article was an unusual blip....

We're at nearly 20 comments on the Tet Zoo vombatiform article now, including on the koala fossil record, the use of the term 'joey' (should it be applied to ALL marsupials or just kangaroos?) and more .... tetzoo.com/blog/2025/11... #marsupials #mammals

I know you're not, but it kinda, sorta, maybe, at a glace, looks like your copping a feel in the second image given how similar it looks to the first. I know you are looking at local fossils, but yeah... ima just leave that there

Lyme Regis ammonites for #FossilFriday!

Visiting the hometown of Mary Anning, prospecting the same beaches she prospected, and just being in one of the places where paleontology first started to blossom β€” that was an incredible experience

In 2011 these fossils were named Oxalaia by Brazilian palaeontologist Alexander Kellner.

In 2018, a fire ripped through the collection where the Oxalaia holotype was held. Its not known if it survived, as many other specimens were lost.

This week for #Fossilfriday we have another #Guess that #Lego #Fossil.

This one I would rate as medium. This is known from fragmentary material, is not Spinosaurus.

Comment your guesses and I will post the answer tomorrow (and to anyone who guesses correctly).

This was designed by Icespurr.

it appears plagiorizer William Toosey tries his shit again, that's my Propalorchestes in his "Journey through the Cenozoic".
I suspect this is just the tip of it. Many of these are just other people's work with a new texture slapped on top.
Lots of JRC art here.

Okay, so it's not as comprehensive as I was hoping. Like he said, there are other alt-brick companies worth a look out there. And I second his recommendation at the end, to seek out JANG's Other Bricks channel on YouTube for previews and reviews of alt-brick stuff.

I am an AFOL, an Adult Fan Of LEGO.
In the past few years, the prices of sets have majorly increased, and some of the quality has not been there.
Other companies are catching up to, and even surpassing LEGO in quality. This is a good alt-brick companies overview.

Honestly. I use non lego bricks as inspiration for my builds. About 15% of my lego fossil museum are rebuilt from non lego branded stuff. I do like some of their cool bricks lego doesnt have. Its really interesting. Sluban is really good. Their jets and what not are really good.

It was not thought to be a temnospondyl due to it being of cretaceous age, far younger than any other found.

In 1989 more remains were found but the fossils were still highly fragmentary.

In 1997, Warren at al, formally described and named Koolasuchus

In 1978, the original fossils were found in the coastal rocks near the town of San Remo, Victoria, Australia.

In 1986 the fossils were mentioned in a publication by Anne Warren and R. Jupp.

With #Stargate coming back. Im getting back into doing the odd Stargate themed render. In this one, i reskinned the VFX models of the F302 to have the #USAF #Thunderbirds livery and put them in formation as if they're prepping for an airshow somewhere. What other stargate renders do you want to see?

The sad part is that being antiwomen, controlling them and manipulating them is the point. It boils down to the religious right refusing to admit theyre wrong and instead they will bathe in the blood of innocent people to prove they are right. Its as evil as you can get but they will never realise

My law firm is currently litigating 61 voting and election cases, including 12 redistricting cases. We have four cases in one stage or another before the Supreme Court.

These cases β€” and others like them β€”
will play a pivotal role in whether we have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028.
