The turnout for #NoKings in Wilkes-Barre was even bigger than I imagined, easily 4 or 5 times bigger than the last protest I went to here.

When someone puts time and effort into art, that tells the audience they believed in it enough to think it was worth the trouble of bringing it into the world. Even if it turns out bad or boring, a journey was still taken to make it.

When we live through difficult times it can be easy to succumb to despair, to see nothing but darkness on the horizon. But one day, in happier times, songs will be sung of those who persevered. Strive to be sung about as one who brought hope, as one who carried light over that horizon.
