in my experience with both persistent psychotic symptoms and bpd... yeah, often. moreso for bpd these days; i got cut off by long time rl friends when i was given that diagnosis, which hurt more than the internet version, i.e. being put on blocklists labeling me really offensive things. 😕 sucks.

"Psychotic" is not a synonym of "vicious, malevolent, nasty, cruel, heinous, atrocious, despicable, fiendish, inhumane, uncontrolled," or any number of other words that are both more accurate and not ableist.

basically i agree that most of AI/robot uprising stories are slavery narratives, but am confused by the "barely sublimated fear of a domestic slave revolt" bit since they're typically pro-robot freedom. in that case wouldn't they make robots stay enslaved?

is there that much AI/robot uprising fiction that isn't written as humanity being the problem? a robot isn't always the protagonist but all the sci-fi i consume is some flavor of social critique that has you on the robots' side; the only explicitly pro-human story i can think of is the matrix. 🤔

also the most politely scathing court decision i've read so far this year was from bill young, a reagan appointed judge. you remember reagan, the notoriously far left-- oh wait. no. he was super conservative, actually. this narrative really doesn't work, miller.

i feel like that john travolta looking around like "where???" gif every time this administration talks about left wing terrorism, or in fact most terrorism, because i'm not sure any of them understand what it actually is or who is actively doing the terrorizing.
