Just... do not copy the NFL in division size. They play 17 games per season. MLB is, famously, 162 games per season. Four-team divisions will create monotony more than they'll re-stoke the flames on a bunch of rivalries like I'm sure people making these mock divisions are hoping.

You definitely have to keep the AL/NL, but I think having 4 big divisions (like the NHL) instead of 8 tiny divisions (like the NFL) will be better for fans.

Maybe the MLBPA will want smaller divisions because of travel? If so, go for it, but I'm already as sick of the Mets and Nats as I can handle.
