AMPAR inhibition lowers S1P in human blood and improves murine autoimmune neuroinflammation by blocking T cell egress from lymph nodes A clinically available AMPAR antagonist inhibits T cell egress from lymph nodes and shows therapeutic effects in mouse models of multiple sclerosis.

Out now in #SciTranslMed! We show non-canonical activity of AMPA receptor signaling in T cells. Oral selective noncompetitive AMPA receptor blockade ameliorates neuroinflammation by preventing T cell egress from lymph nodes and therefore may be repurposed to treat inflammatory conditions such as MS.

Frontiers | Biomarker combinations from different modalities predict early disability accumulation in multiple sclerosis

In our new paper, we show that multimodal biomarkers, i.e. different major surrogates for pathology derived from MRI, OCT and blood, inform about different parts of MS disease pathology leading to clinical progression.
