Once more, since it seems to go unsaid all too often: famine, disease and disability work in insidious ways to exacerbate each other. And this ‘explanation’ implies that a disabled child having severe malnutrition is ‘fine’ because he’s disabled. It’s depraved.

YES.
I get chills under my skin when people (especially physicians and scientists) don’t realize or don’t want to realize this. Because acknowledging this would mean acknowledging their own ableism and support for a eugenicist agenda.

“No Future” Lexicon: Erasure The erasure of disabled futures intersects with other forms of eradication and suppression of diverse futures.

“‘Against Technoableism’ situates the ways disability are discussed in contemporary culture within historical frameworks of erasure and exclusion, making a case for the many ways in which people with disabilities can shape accessible futures.”

Good morning y'all 🌄

I woke up thinking about how the cruelties we're witnessing are eroding our hearts; if I think of it that way, as erosion, then it reasons that mutual aid and collective resistance form roots that could hold us together.

It is all eugenics because he believes his family is superior and “deserved” that care. But see, when the state serves the public, it serves all, which means people he believes are inferior would benefit. We can’t have that in the racist-ableist belief system that constitutes eugenics.

On March 15, President Donald Trump’s administration sent more than 230 Venezuelan immigrants to a prison in El Salvador. Last week, the men were released as suddenly as they’d been taken away.

Now, their stories will begin to be told.

San Francisco had a similar law (1867) that existed alongside bans on cross-dressing, indecency, and carrying baskets on poles through the streets - a common practice among many Chinese workers. then, as now, the policing of poverty, disability, gender, sexuality, and immigration went hand-in-hand

“Scholarly research has determined that people who found themselves targets of the eugenics movement were those who were seen as unfit for society—the poor, the disabled, the mentally ill, and specific communities of color”

U.S. deportees, freed from Salvadoran prison, describe ‘horror movie’ Three Venezuelans, released last week from the Terrorism Confinement Center, said they were repeatedly beaten and denied access to lawyers.

“When the shackled men refused to get off the plane, González and two other detainees told The Washington Post that they were yanked by their feet, beaten and shoved off board as the plane’s crew began to cry.”

300,000 Black women have left the labor force in 3 months. It’s not a coincidence. For decades, the public sector has been a lifeline for Black women shut out of economic opportunity. It’s no surprise that Trump's federal downsizing targeted them first, explains gender economist Kat...

“This isn’t a coincidence. It’s the result of federal policy choices — most immediately, sweeping job cuts across public-sector agencies where Black women have long held the strongest foothold in middle-class employment.”

Disabled Americans Fear What Medicaid Cuts Could Do to Them

Glad to see coverage of Medicaid cuts & how they'll damage disabled people's lives, despite the admin saying it's not true. What wasn't said explicitly here w/ every Trump lie, disabled people die...and though it's dark, I do believe that's the goal. #Eugenics www.nytimes.com/2025/07/21/w...

Budget Bill Massively Increases Funding for Immigration Detention The influx of money comes as the administration is resisting congressional oversight of conditions at ICE facilities.

The so-called big beautiful bill — now signed into law — will create a deportation-industrial complex like this country has never seen, allocating $175 billion over the next 4 years with the goal of deporting 1 million immigrants each year. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/ana... 1/14
