I am old enough to remember when you wanted to take control of an election it meant you stood up behind a podium and told people whatever they wanted to hear. Seems like they don't want to risk the people not falling for the lies this time.

Is it shame and embarrassment or that they are so detached from reality to even realize they are affecting real people and real lives? Are people just numbers in a spreadsheet to them? Why would they care to show up any more than a kid would care about kicking over an ant hill?

Anybody else noticed that in references to a few ICE agents leaving Minneapolis it gets referred to as a "draw down" like pulling troops out of Iraq or Afghanistan. It is a subtle change, but maybe the media is starting to treat it more like a military occupation now.

Didn't they just partner with local cops so when the police picked up someone for breaking the law and they turned out to be undocumented then ICE would come pick them up? A built in filter to make sure they could focus on people actually breaking laws?
