Most community building initiatives are legacy-driven too. That’s why they either turn into talent management or paywalled-education business or never make the impact that they could.

You cannot be a good teacher or mentor if you’re doing so for legacy. Your name should stay irrelevant — that’s not just a good-to-have feature, but rather the core prerequisite to begin with. The run for legacy holds teachers back from allowing their students to become better than themselves.

So you need people to have a little bit of practice to “use their brains”, instead of getting used to having everything just present for them all the time.
