Seeing all the Halloween stuff already in the stores in July actually comforts me because it makes me feel like we can make it past the peak of hurricane season 🎃

❄️Tip 5: Another way to get out when stuck in snow is to take out one of your rubber floor mats and tuck it right next to the stuck tire to get traction

❄️Tip 4: If you run off the road into a ditch or otherwise get stuck in snow, don’t floor it to get out. Rock gently back and forth by alternating between drive and reverse, pressing lightly on the accelerator, creating a pendulum effect until you’re up and out

❄️Tip 3: Avoid slamming your brakes and sharp turns, both of which can make you spin or slide.

❄️Tip 2: Drive much slower than usual. Leave extra space between you and the car in front of you.

Growing up in Oklahoma, I learned some things about driving on ice that might be useful if you’re not used to it. ❄️Tip 1: Don’t drive unless you have to. Even people with experience driving on ice can have problems.
