You’re spot on and that clip is great. It dovetails with a bit I once heard him do about how a friend asked him how a movie was. He replied “it didn’t blow me away” then thought to himself “why is that the standard?” When brushing your teeth you don’t hope for a great experience, just good enough.

Is this just Politico being Politico? I can’t see how you can say the last shutdown was 2013 when there were 2 during Trump’s first term. 🙃

My theory is it’ll be a Limp Bizkit or Kid Rock or some other song from 1999 about which you will say “here endeth rock as we have been discussing it to date.”
