I was on a 9 hour flight back to the US. Didn't expect to land in a war zone, and would have appreciated the option to stay on the plane and just go back to civilization.

The Haneda airport hotel is the most superior airport hotel. It has a rooftop onsen with views of Mount Fuji. Absolutely unmatched.

That and a round of all you can eat sukiyaki and I slept for 10 hours. Jetlag averted, on to Thailand.

Complete failure to launch on my trip to Thailand. Stuck an extra day in LA. Grateful to have friends I love so much that I can't be mad at even when they cause me to miss an international flight. Lemons? Lemonade.
