This dataset offers a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners aiming to design more targeted and effective climate adaptation strategies.

This approach ensures consistency with SSP narratives on economic growth, income inequality, income distribution, population dynamics, and settlement expansion.

Our study introduces a novel, top–down iterative methodology to generate decadal, high-resolution (1 km) maps of disposable income across Europe for the entire 21st century, fully aligned with the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs).

Until now, most studies have relied on broad proxies like GDP per capita, often overlooking the crucial role of income redistribution mechanisms and their impact on vulnerability.

Understanding future climate risk in Europe requires more than just climate projections—it demands detailed insights into how socioeconomic vulnerability will evolve.
