I personally only use Twitter/Bluesky to keep up with people I follow for politics/news/entertainment, maybe some funny comedian comments. I could absolutely do without the comment/reply aspect (yes, I see the irony of what I'm doing right now). Less social, please.

Umbrella Man is one of my favorite "stranger than fiction" anecdotes. It's like three-levels-deep of references that hardly anyone would understand today. Yet when you see how many old political cartoons depicted Chamberlain with an umbrella, it makes complete sense.

Better to think of it as: 610 days until the midterms.

I have no idea how this curriculum could be implemented, but I think we need to train people how to be wrong. We need to engrain from birth how to change your mind when presented with new evidence. People are so, so bad at this and I think it causes more societal problems than we realize.

42/43 was one of the low points of the series for me (not actively bad, but largely forgettable and where I was least-engaged). 45-47 has been a great renaissance (probably due to 90 minute eps as well), with 44 being a bridge between them.
