The embargo is over: the real reason a bunch of car-loving hacks (myself included) were sent to Safe Korea was... THIS!
It's the new Kia PV5 - it's a modular electric van which means it can be made into 16 different shapes, from food vans to motorhomes.
Vid goes live on Friday! It's weird. Like me.
I worked out the cargo version can hold 18,000 spuds.

Join us for a night drive in Korea!
Now that the embargo is over I can finally share the reasonI was in Seoul last week. Richard and I grabbed a brand new Kia PV5 cargo van and went for an hour long blast around the city, even stopping to check out a cool EV charger.

Holy spuds. Talk about hitting the ground running. There are SO MANY new electric vehicles launching in New Zealand right now and my editor has gone on holiday for the month! 😭

Make stew while the sun shines! Doing meal prep for the week in my retro kitchen while charging the car - with sunlight! Feels good, saves money too. Can't wait to see my power bill at the end of this month. 😊

This is Kukje Electronics Center where I just bought my retro Sony Walkman. It's floor after floor of new and old electronics. Sadly most shops were closed as we got there earlier in the day but if I ever get back to Seoul I'm selling a kidney and coming back here with a suitcase. 😁

Seen lots of these little things zipping around Seoul. It's a Kia Ray, a domestic EV which looks pretty good for the city. It's like a Korean kei car. It's also got a sliding door on one side and a swing out door on the other.
