I’m obsessed with honey scents this time of year. I picked up 2 new scents: Jimmy Choo-Illicit and DKNY-Nectar love. Illicit starts out with a plum opening (almost jammy) and dries down to a honey amber base. Nectar Love is light and sweet with a juicy honey quality. I love both!❤️

Puerto Rican pasta salad

Sunday supper: chicken, feta, spinach sausages with onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, and garlic. Made some Puerto Rican pasta salad with ham, onions, peppers, celery, parsley, lemon, homemade mayo, and spices. So yummy!❤️😋🍽️🍜

Quiche

Easy Saturday supper was quiche with bacon, onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, zucchini, and cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Quick and yummy!❤️😋🍽️🍜

Well, I woke up this morning and my sweetie let me know he woke up in the middle of the night and ate ALL of the leftovers! WTH? There was a lot! I guess the key term is “was”…😳

Quick stir fry tonight: chicken, zucchini, peppers and green onions. Finished with lemon juice and cilantro and served over rice. Yum!❤️😋🍽️🍜

My own. Garam masala, cayenne, paprika, turmeric, chili flakes, curry powder, garlic, paprika, cumin, and ginger. Toast the dry spices then add your oil, then wet herbs/spices. 😋

No recipe, just cooking with what I have on hand.

Chicken curry with veggies

Comfort food Curry night! Browned chicken thighs/drumsticks simmered in a coconut peanut spicy curry sauce with sweet potatoes, peppers, onions, squash, and garlic. Finished with fresh lemon juice and chopped cilantro. So yummy!❤️😋🍽️🍜

Green pepper pot roast

Leftovers made into dinner: mashed potatoes became colcannon with onions, cabbage, bacon, garlic, herbs/spices, and parsley. Reheated Mississippi pot roast in a green pepper gravy and topped with chopped cilantro and green onions. Yum!😋❤️😋🍽️🍜

Spicy basted eggs with pepper and cayenne

Leftovers late lunch: Pan crisped leftover carnitas and chicken, hash wi/orange and purple sweet potatoes, onions, b-peppers, jalapeños, zucchini, garlic - topped wi/cilantro & green onions. Basted eggs wi/cayenne and pepper served wi/corn tortillas & more cilantro, onions and guacamole. Yum!❤️😋🍽️🍜

My grandfather (Scottish) liked it that way but my sweetie likes it diced. 😊

Cocky-Leeky Soup

My sweetie is coming down with a cold and asked for an old family favorite: Cocky-Leeky soup. Chicken, onions, celery, carrots, leeks, garlic, rice, and a few diced prunes with herbs and spices simmered in broth and finished with a little cream and lemon juice. This will cure what ails ya! Yum!❤️😋🍽️🍜

Mellow Thursday night as my sweetheart recovers. I made us some beef stir fry with onions, peppers, garlic, ginger, and bok choy. I made semi-dirty rice to go with it and some Chinese apple tea with apples, goji berries, red dates, ginger, and honey to help my sweetie with inflammation. Yum!❤️😋🍽️🍜

Chicken and dumplings

Made some chicken and herb dumplings with chicken, bacon, potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, bell peppers, spinach, and garlic. The dumplings have parsley, basil, and garlic in them. I finished it with lemon juice and chopped parsley. So yummy!❤️😋🍽️🍜

I will! I made this with what I had in my refrigerator after work. 😊

Chicken soup with rice and veggies

The flu has been going around our house so I made a nice pot of soup tonight. Chicken soup with chicken, rice, sesame oil, a little dark tamari, miso, garlic, ginger, lemon grass, onions, carrots, zucchini, bok choy, and finished with lime juice and fresh bean sprouts. Healthy and yummy! ❤️😋🍽️🍜

Sunday brunch: hash skillet with potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, peppers, zucchini, garlic, and two kinds of sausage (maple and savory). Finished with basted eggs, a little mozzarella, and chopped parsley. Super yummy!❤️😋🍽️🍜
