But it makes me want to consider a rewatch of DaD
I liked the psychedelic silliness of Drive away Dolls a bit more I think. The throwaway silliness of them though is what I find appealing. We will watch them collectively and reappraise in ten years probably in their favour.

It might not be universally loved, but I can forgive the undercooked love story subplot cause the spiders, the barrel riding and the dragon are utterly superb… also, this film got my kids reading Tolkien, so it’s a win win
