Thatβs a shame.
11.01.2026 17:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks! Some do, quite a few were staying out of the meadow and had dogs on leads. Just 1 person in the meadow with 3 dogs off leads when I was there. I presume that public access to the meadow is allowed?
11.01.2026 15:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0#Northantsbirds The Tundra Bean Goose and 14 White-fronted Geese were still at Islip meadows (Thrapston) this morning, and showing nicely until disturbed by a dog walker. A pair of RCPochard were also on Town Lake. #ukbirding #digiscoping

A quick dash to Pitsford Res this PM to see the Goose influx. 4 Tundra Bean Geese, 7 Russian White-fronted Geese and 3 Pink-footed Geese at the mouth of Walgrave Bay, found by Jacob Spinks.
Hope they stay for a while. Happy Christmas!

27.07.2025 08:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A lovely afternoon at Snettisham RSPB yesterday, some purring in the bushes (volume up)
27.07.2025 08:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A good July record, difficult to tell from 1 pic but it looks like an eclipse Drake. Also some funky head patterns on the Mallards, probably a bit of Eastern Spot-billed duck in there!
15.07.2025 20:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Clifford Hill GP this evening 11 Black-tailed Godwits out in the middle, frustratingly one was colour ringed but too far away to get any detail. Maybe orange/red right leg above white and green on left? Also 1 Common Sand and a juv LRP. #Northantsbirds
14.07.2025 17:57 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A real nice surprise to see the stunning White-winged Tern (Childonias leucopterus) at Summer Leys NR today. It always seemed to keep its distance but gave good scope views. Hereβs a heavily cropped pic. #northantsbirds #RareBirdsUK #UKBirding @wildlifebcn.org
18.05.2025 16:19 β π 33 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This Black Tern (Childonias Niger) was at Clifford Hill GP earlier today. #northantsbirds #digiscoping
12.05.2025 17:51 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Always good to see inland. This pair of Common Scoter (Melanitta nigra) were at Clifford Hill GP this evening on the deep water lake. #northantsbirds #digiscoping
10.04.2025 19:20 β π 13 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, doesnβt normally get seen so early. We saw it mainly in the hedge to the left of those trees and on the ground inside the stw, near the base of the 4 yellow posts. Hope it appears soon.
