Excellent day in Suffolk: started at Walberswick with @DavidWalsh22 for the Zitting Cisticola which obligingly perched, briefly, between song flights, but long enough to allow scope views and a photo. Then went to Hollesley to see the Black Stork which was very confiding.

Some of the other highlights birdwise in the Pyrenees. Rock Bunting, Bearded Vulture, Alpine Accentor, Egyptian Vultures but also Orphean Warbler, Snowfinch, Alpine Chough, Rock Thrush, Citril Finch, Golden Orioles and Bee Eaters.

Back up in the mountains yesterday, after starting at Metochi. Cinereous Bunting, Rock Sparrow, Rock Nuthatch, Ortolan Bunting, Purple Heron, Cirl Bunting, as well as Legless, Green, Snake Eyed and Starred Agama Lizards. Finished at Kalloni for Spur winged Lapwing and Marsh Sand!

Another cracking day on Lesvos! 6 lifers this time. KrΓΌpers Nuthatch, Tawny and Red Throated Pipit, Marsh Sand, Orphean Warbler and Short Toed Larks. Also great to see Black Storks, Male Montagu's Harrier, Glossy Ibis, 6 Pygmy Cormorants, Night heron and Masked Shrikes.

Outstanding first full day on Lesvos, 7 lifers! Masked Shrike, Cinerous Bunting, Black Eared Wheatear, Rock Nuthatch, Chukar, Sombre Tit and Eastern Subalpine Warbler. Also Pygmy Cormorant, Little Crakes, Spotted Crake, Isabelline Wheatear, Short Toed Eagle and a Scops Owl later.

Just back from a trip to the Netherlands with Dad, The obvious highlight was the Texel Spectacled eider which stayed annoyingly distant. Other highlights included bluethroats and Lelystads Pygmy cormorant and storks. Big thanks to @david-walsh.bsky.social and @noahbai-123.bsky.social for the info!

Great weekend in the Netherlands. Spectacled Eider the highlight, followed by Pygmy Cormorant but was also nice to see 5 male Bluethroats, a White Tailed Eagle, 9 Spoonbill, 2 Ring Ouzel alongside lots of winter birds.
