I do a lot of wanking - amongst other things, like baking, cycling, painting and gardening - with the time I spend not watching football games

If it dominates other people’s time and attention then I’m sure you can imagine how it would interfere with the time of the non-interested friends and family around them

Hard agree. But often you feel like a lone voice in the wilderness

As far as I’m aware, there is only evidence of abused female children. And allegations from females. However I’d be willing to be proved wrong if I’ve missed something in the files

Can’t see gay Peter Mandleson being that interested in teenage girls tbh

There’s no suggestion that Mandleson was a paedophile. Just corrupt

Didn’t the NFU support Brexit?

If the UK prime minister had done such a thing, they’d be out of a job WITHIN THE HOUR. WTF America?

@stephenjenkinson.bsky.social - this should be an urgent safety priority to install some kind of crossing here on Westfield Road. It would also slow down the motorway speed of traffic as it exits and approaches the WAR which is unmonitored and completely out of hand

Cllr White will combust when he finds out about this bus stop at the Gorgie end of the western approach. Literally no way to access the stop without running fast across the WAR as the short pavement peters out into a motorway slip road either side of it. One of the most dangerous bus stops in town

It’s also funny how bus stop bypasses which are widespread in places like Copenhagen seem to cause no hysteria or β€œlife threatening” implications

Also, what is it to be Ian? I thought the cycle lanes were not used yet there seems to be a furious and constant stream of cyclists in them when buses are stopped

Is anyone seriously proposing such a thing in Edinburgh or nationwide?

Then they use the streets with our homes on them as a free park and ride, or carry on into their free office parking spaces in town. What happened to the workplace parking levy?

Absolutely baffled why this hasn’t already been in place for years. There should be a supplementary charge for people entering from the bypass. Single occupant vehicles from the west are the norm at rush hour. Makes me angry we allow them to do it

@edinburghcouncil.bsky.social - this is ridiculous and needs fixing asap

Student living expense loans are not free in Scotland though, which means most will be Β£32k in debt after a 4 year degree (only 3 years elsewhere). So surely the same principle of never paying off the debt due to interest applies to students in Scotland too

The problem seems to be that for some reason Edinburgh keeps asking people what they reckon and then having to forget it for a while. And Edinburgh is filled with clueless shop keepers and shouty fILL tHE potHOaLeS! football men

This is your reminder that it has well been over 10 years since the very short β€˜canal to meadows’ cycle link has been planned. But we can’t seem to do that because of a couple of shopkeepers β€˜reckoned’ something
