Does particle scripting count? If I could choose only one shader trick at the expense of all the others I'd instead choose something like Niagara and just make everything out of particles with fancy math and sims

Meshes are from Sketchfab, the sword is based on an original concept art by @kyrin.bsky.social. The sword animation and the flowing glow on it's blade are done w/ vertex colors and WPO, at the time I was very proud that it worked out lol
