In case you're not aware, the game is broken. There was a melee surge so I used my Lightning Surge build. In two consecutive runs on Lawless Frontier, Lightning Surge just stopped working so I went and played another game that isn't broken.

The brain can be conceived as a type of computer but it's one we didn't design and don't fully understand how it works. If we can't get off the track of trying to understand it with reference to computers that we did design, we may never succeed in creating conscious machines.

Layman here but as far as I can tell, we're nowhere near solving what philosophers call the hard problem of consciousness. Without that, it's impossible to recreate consciousness in a machine. We're not going to stumble on it by accident.
