it has the light sensitivity of sandpaper, anything beyond direct sunlight results in nasty chroma noise, the X3F software feels like developing photos in knee-high mud, then add a plethora of weird shortcomings that make shooting mentally taxing... but when it hits? you CAN'T argue with results imo

SA/P/K lenses are "good enough" but have annoying pain points, and the proper sigma glass made for the SD Quattro is simply too expensive for me.

I keep coming back to foveons being the toxic relationship cameras, and my god is it temping to blow $800 on otherwise useless lens

the only camera that could possibly need this is the sd quattro, and I'm screaming at it across the room for being trapped in SA Mount Hell.

I saw this in the PBS documentary about Edwin Land and KNEW this would crop up somewhere on photography bluesky, lol

I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. (Mr. Polaroid, I believe it's free in the U.S.)
