It's extremely unlikely that the US will ever attempt a military invasion of Canada, for 2 reasons.

1st: Canada has a massive landmass, difficult climate, & 40 million citizens, some of whom would form militias.

2nd: It's far less costly to just keep funding Alberta separtists.
