The most jealous I've ever been of Rick Steves is one time he went to a Polish market and got to try pickles from a pickle stand and they had crocks that were 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13+ days old and he got to go down the line just tasting away.

I mean, try em til you like em. If you do a crock or a jar in the fridge, half the fun is tasting as you go.
