Every other MCU movie could be set in our world. But this is the first time I’ve actually been: this is a truly alien world in every facet. To me that’s what I love in fantasy.

I wonder if states can dictate the architecture of insurnace firms like that. Maybe they will only offer Medicaid payments if the insurer meets certain structural requirements.

There are many amazing things here but housing policy is by far and away one of the worst. I’d say the recent changes are huge though

Not the author; but for me these have almost always been scale related. They’re usually some variant of poor behaviour under above peak serviceable load where the system effectively starts exhibiting cascading failures.

These are super difficult to recover from without some auto circuit breaker

How do you get over (what is effectively) writers block in Factorio?

I never had issues when playing with friend but solo it seems like even small hurdles seem much larger and off putting.

I had no problem with bobs and even made good progress in pynadons at one point and now vanilla is too much

And a platform without a product has no users.

Building a product without a platform usually lands you in trouble a few years down the line IMO when the user demands get complicated and your overfitted under engineered platform can’t adapt to changing needs.

In my experience you actually need to do both. You need to be deliberate and build an generalised platform and then build a product on top of it.

The one two gives you a steady base with enough extensibility to plausibly meet most needs and then you build something that people can actually consume
