I don't know which of my kouhais need to hear this, but because I'm seeing this in a ton of commercial J>E game locs: you really shouldn't retain quotation marks in the same places as the Japanese source text 9 times of 10, especially outside dialogue. Punctuation parity in general is often sloppy.

I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin. We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.

Yeah, that's basically it. T_T we have rich people whose entire fortune comes from "investment properties" and ugh, they are the most unbearable turds. (including politicians with like 30+ "investment properties". Sigh.)

As an example, I was researching my family tree a few years ago and found that someone's house in Sydney had been valued at approx AU$70,000 in the early 1970s. I looked up current house prices in that same street and they were AU$1.5-2 million. I wish I was joking.

I'm afraid Australia is one of the worst countries in the world now for "let's make housing an investment thing". And it was done knowingly and we are all suffering. 😭
