It's honestly not bad unless it's a fresh spray. The whiffs people get while walking by or driving are just vaguely stinky. I've always thought the extreme reactions were just played up. If you aren't getting hit with the spray directly, it's fine.

When they've just sprayed, burning rubber/tires. When spraying was a small or a while ago, bad, strong weed. When it's really faded, beer that has gone bad. I was a dog groomer and did wildlife rehab, skunk spray smell is lodged in my head.

Is there an actual reason to keep boas in full glass/acrylic enclosures or is it just easier/less stinky? I have a Hog Island boa and I've considered making her a bigger, more climbable enclosure with more open sides with wire. All the internet snake habitat plans are enclosed with acrylic or glass.

Turkey update! I knew going in to getting poults that turkeys are pretty dumb. I did not know how determined to kill themselves they were. I also didn't know how charming and curious turkeys are. These are all destined for Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners, but i think want to get heritage breeds

I agree, there are ways around these issues, I'm just saying what convention board members are telling me. Reprints not being cheap is a tricky one, someone somewhere is going to forget a badge and conventions are exhausted with being dragged on social media

I think mailing badges would be amazing, but those are the roadblocks that I've encountered and I haven't been able to overcome them :/

Every con I have suggested it to has at least one of the following concerns and won't move past them. 1. Fear of early hands on badges means more likely to have counterfeits. 2. Adult badges going to minors without an ID check 3. Pretending to "lose" badges and getting a cheap second reprint
