Many years ago, Alex Jones is the kind of person that would have only ever been known as the local village idiot. Unfortunately the internet happened and now everyone has to hear about it 🙄

I remember back in his first term how staff apparently had to dumb reports down to pictures and minimal words so that he’d understand. And make their daily briefings in the style of a Fox News show to get/keep his attention.

My country (Scotland) qualified for the first time in God knows how long, but I’d already decided not to travel 😢. Primarily I’d like to *not* be incarcerated or shot, thanks. Pity. So many beautiful places in the US I’d love to see - I still dream of doing a coast to coast rail/road trip one day.

My ex still occasionally features in my dreams (usually bad ones, I have to say) and I’ve been away from him for 25 bloody years 😬 Someone who’s had a big impact on your life, good or bad, is going to float around in your sub-conscious for a long time, but it will get easier to cope with.
