In general only those already tuned into feeds that show the protests see them, and from the outside there are only small signs of things happening. Peaceful protests are easy to ignore, especially since they rely on the authorities feeling shame for their actions, and MAGA have on sense of shame.

I suspect it's largely because a lot of media, both traditional news services and social media, are doing a great deal of work to silo off reports of the protests, just like how Serbia has had massive protests since 2024 and they recieve almost no coverage.

The situation in America has reached the point that it is being seen the same way as Russia- there are quite a number of Russian citizens that want rid of Putin, but 26 years later he's still there. Many Americans are against Trump, but enough follow his orders that the nation is a global threat.

Last Thursday, Natasha & Sinéad took part in the Dementia Awareness Training with Friends of ASI in Bethany House where they learned how to support those living with dementia & become a dementia-inclusive service. This is part of an initiative of creating Carlow as a Dementia Inclusive Community.
