There’s definitely a certain kind of user that sees a conversation between folks who are discussing my real world consequences of policy and scared for their livelihoods, and their first instinct is to denigrate them and go off on some absolute bus-rant.

Thinking today of the kid who interrupted a tariff conversation in the L5R discord back in February to say that soon groceries and housing would be cheaper, healthcare costs would drop, we'd no longer be ruled by a "dictator" and a "cackling hyena," and we were dummies for suggesting otherwise.

Maybe my most sincere yet nonetheless bonkers belief about MMOs is that if Wildstar had been a tabletop RPG setting for D&D, PBTA, Pathfinder, or really any other system instead of a video game, it would still be around today.

-42% of American adults smoked; it’s 11% now.

-The infant morality rate was 24.7/1000; it’s 5.6/1000 now.

-Overall life expectancy was 70 years; it's about 77 years now.
