went to G-Dragon's Newark Day 1 show and what an amazing experience it was seeing the king live 😍

dragonflight was a solid read minus the nonconny vibes which did not age well at all. i love how it had space stuff, dragons, environmental disasters, post-apocalyptic, and time travel in like 250 pages. you rarely see that nowadays.

many books like to neatly tie up everything at the ending, but this one definitely didn't. mordred's birth secret is out, the orkney brothers are now publicly divided, the round table won't forget their accusations and suspicions of each other any time soon, all of it adds up to the impeding fall

i like that you get the feeling this book is just one episode in the overall legends. kay solved two mysteries, but the grudges aren't over by a long way. nothing arent really resolved, and in fact possibly have worsened the internal divisions in the round table.

many excellent bits in the book, but "And some day they're going to remember us as the cream of chivalry!" had me rolling

mordred is SO funny, he hears a story about his brother killing an innocent man and then trying to force the dead man's wife to be his concubine, and he just makes a joke, "unlike my brother, i sleep weaponless so you can come murder me in my sleep"

reading an arthurian book and it kinda feels like one big pseudo incestuous group with the amount of affairs and grudges i'm struggling to keep track of (in a positive way i think this level of messiness is what arthurian stories should be)

i'm glad they're not wasting a second with the carnage. they know what we're here for and they're gleefully delivering aliens tearing the shit up!

i finished For All Mankind season 3 and that was hot garbage compared to the previous seasons. really a bummer.

I have a few more light novels to get through, but I won't lie that Villainess Level 99 kind of killed my mood for villainess stories so I'm switching back to Western books.

Unfortunately didn't enjoy this and will not be continuing the series. It's an run of the mill villainess series, no sharp or witty writing, no compelling characters, a fairly generic story, with nothing to stand out from other series.

An one vol arc this time with Reiren and Keigetsu exploring the capital and of course accidentally stumble into a gambling den's nefarious schemes. Lighthearted story focusing more on pairings than anything else, one which pleasantly surprised me.

Reirin and Keigetsu having wrapped up their fight and closer than before, they unite the Maidens in a fight to expose corruption in the court. Another fun volume, nicely tying up many previous plot lines.

Excellent vol, possibly my favorite so far in the series, this focuses on Reirin and Keigetsu's friendship as they have their first fight. Both deeply reflect on themselves and what this friendship mean to them, and they come out as better people for it.

I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time volumes 1-4

Average but cute series about a girl with high walls gradually letting others in her heart. Definitely more on the tropey side with tsundere antics. Looking forward to the next volume whenever that comes out.

Nicely wraps up the village arc with further development for Reirin and Keigetsu, with them growing as they learn more about the world and themselves. Really enjoyed Keigetsu taking command at the tea party, she came a long way from vol 1.

A breather volume back in the capital after the long arc of the locust arc, with Maomao catching up. Started out very fun with the meeting of the clans (always love the La clan's antics), stumbled a bit in the second half but still an enjoyable read.
