Every time I book with BC Ferries, I feel irritated that kids over 12 are considered adults. If the provincial government wanted to make life more affordable for families, they could start with a half-price fare for all K to 12 kids.

30 & Younger Program - Pacific Opera Victoria

Tickets for Pacific Opera here in Victoria start at $35. I think that's pretty good value, considering the cost of putting on a production. They also run community previews for school groups, which are cheaper. And they have half-price tickets if you're 30 or under: pacificopera.ca/30-younger-p...

I think it should be more like the BC Parks system, where sites only open 3 months in advance, so there are new sites available every day. Better than everyone landing on the website at the same time, and the entire summer getting booked up within half an hour!

Another year, another camping reservations debacle. One year there's a queuing system, the next there isn't. This year the Parks Canada reservations page won't even load. Surely they are prepared for tons of traffic at 8am on the day bookings open?

Anyone with teens in #yyj (City of Victoria specifically) still waiting for their 2026 youth bus passes? Wondering if there's been a delay this year in getting them out, or maybe they've been impacted by the Canada Post strikes. (Have emailed to chase, just curious if others are also waiting.)

Got excited for a minute when I received an email from BC's Health Connect Registry.

Was I actually going to get a GP?

Don't be silly! Still waiting.

It did say I could contact them if I want to be removed from the registry e.g. if I'd found a family doctor. Hahahaha.
