Aquarium Drunkard :: Year In Review 2025 - Aquarium Drunkard Looking back to look ahead. The clock never stops, but sometimes music manages the impossible: slowing time for a moment. Our list arrives in the spirit of sharing, and we’re back with our annual Year...

And the @aquariumdrunkard.com album of the year goes to … just kidding we don’t do that kind of thing. Our year end list is a massive unranked blob of great music, just as the good lord intended. aquariumdrunkard.com/2025/12/08/a...

Teach a man who hates socialism and votes for authoritarianism to farm and he can receive socialist handouts for life from the government that bankrupted him in the first place.

This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.

this perfectly captures this entire administration’s β€œthe emperor has no clothes” energy

we are all expected to pretend this man is the King of Health, and he himself believes it, which is why he confidently in front of witnesses attempted a thing he cannot do, knowing they will all say that he did

everyone is entitled to due process, this is in the bill of rights and you dont get to violate it just because a senile nazi watches fox news 24/7

why do news outlets treat the constitution as if it's something optional that trump can ignore? are reporters this stupid?

No one should have to spend money on lettuce. It should be growing in at least every other household with the folks growing it sharing it with those who don’t.

Why aren’t some growing it? Well maybe they enjoy growing something else. Maybe they just don’t feel like it. They still get free lettuce.

"I guess I have a very different view of the dangers and real-world consequences of your position than what you explored with Justice Kavanaugh. My understanding was that independent agencies exist because Congress has decided that some issues, some matters, some areas should be handled in this way by nonpartisan expertsβ€”that Congress is saying that expertise matters with respect to aspects of the economy and transportation and the various independent agencies that we have.

"So having a president come in and fire all the scientists and the doctors and the economists and the PhDs and replacing them with loyalists and people who don't know anything is actually not in the best interest of the citizens of the United States."

notice how it's the admins pushing this- no one who cares about education is pushing this, it's short-term thinking by careerists who believe in nothing

noory was a mesmerized outsider taking calls and believing what everyone said where art bell was actually a member of the community he'd created and was more of a skeptic (at least on certain topics)

george noory has a great broadcasting voice but lacked any real personality compared to his predecessor (and rival) art bell

Everyone imitates Tolkien all the time except when it comes to the one way it would really matter: making the protagonist of your novel for children a short, fat, 50-year-old man who doesn't want to do anything.
