I voted for this way back in 2008. Great that this is finally opening, but we really need to get better about building these projects faster.

26.02.2026 19:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's been a lot of discussion in recent days about the influence of the Stranger in local elections. I had a lot to say about their impact in school board races, which is so decisive that we could say they now effectively appoint the board:
16.11.2025 18:05 β π 8 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0The state party has (not that our electeds listen to the state party).
14.11.2025 07:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Build back better died in the Senate. It passed the House. His vote was in the margins and not needed for the bill to pass.
I do not care about Goldenβs career, but I do care about having a majority. Losing Golden, and likely Maineβs 2nd district, makes having a majority just that much harder.
How is this costing Democrats seats, other than potentially his own?
06.11.2025 19:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Which would have never come up for a vote if Jeffries were speaker.
06.11.2025 16:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The most important vote that will happen is the speaker vote. Golden will at least vote for the Democrat, even if he votes against us on everything else. LePage will vote for Mike Johnson.
If we donβt win the majority, we have zero power in the next two years.
Thereβs one of those on Airport way as well.
24.10.2025 19:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We were very overextended after a very strong 2006 and 2008. We held both Senate seats in Arkansas, Montana, West Virginia, and North Dakota - places where even then we were no longer competitive at the federal level. The 63 House seats/6 Senate seats was more of a crashing down to earth.
24.10.2025 18:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Elevator only kind of sort of works in Beacon Hill, but this is the busiest station in the entire system.
09.10.2025 14:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Including the part in Redmond thatβs already operating, right?
09.10.2025 14:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Same reason I donβt listen to podcasts. Itβs not for lack of trying.
29.09.2025 18:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm starting to think the 2nd downtown tunnel is not the place to make cuts.
21.09.2025 00:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is no proposal. The board considered it and did not recommend it.
17.09.2025 20:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Those jumps (especially the small ones) are extremely popular with little kids (or at least mine). SPS (really football more broadly) can f*ck off.
20.08.2025 21:40 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I assume theyβre not selling Himalayan blackberry, right? I really hope not. Thereβs also a native NW blackberry. www.seattletimes.com/life/food-dr...
08.08.2025 14:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hollingsworth is also probably a swing - sheβs not as conservative as Kettle/Rivera/Saka/Juarez
06.08.2025 21:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0All of those new PBLs in SODO & Georgetown along 6th, Airport, & Ellis have made a big difference.
04.08.2025 16:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Northgate bike/ped bridge, the green lake PBL, 3rd Ave NW speed bumps, 83rd & Greenwood stop light, and 6th Ave NW Greenway are all contenders.
04.08.2025 16:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sounder (and ST express 594) beats link on speed. Plus, given that the Ballard-Tacoma Dome line wonβt even have a stop at King St Station, passengers may prefer one line over the other depending on their destination.
17.06.2025 21:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sheβd actually have to lose the primary. Itβs hard to lose one in a top 2 state. Especially if the GOP primary is also contested.
05.06.2025 03:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This intersection is frankly shit if youβre driving. I donβt even know why drivers put up with it.
05.06.2025 03:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs really hard to defeat an incumbent from the out of power party in a midterm. Assuming she runs, she will probably win. My guess is she wins 2026 and loses in 2028.
05.06.2025 03:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think we all need to be talking about how nice having a one seat ride on link from UW station to Marymoor will be. Weβll finally be able to take Link from one station to another and ride back entirely on off street bike trails. That doesnβt exist with any other station pair today.
15.05.2025 00:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If this even makes it through Pacific County Dems (of course nobody signed their name to this, so I donβt know how credible this is), I, as a sitting member of the WSDCC, will almost certainly vote against it. A well resourced primary challenge likely means no Dem on ballot Nov 2026.
10.05.2025 04:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I find it rich that Ann Davison, who became a Republican in 2020 when Trump was first elected, is trying to fundraise by saying sheβs helping the city fight Trump πππ Vote Erika Adams for City Attorney! #Seattle
07.04.2025 18:54 β π 22 π 5 π¬ 3 π 0Came here to post this myself! Did she renounce her partisan affiliation or is she just hiding it?
07.04.2025 19:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sorry to post again on this but nothing will change unless we persistently, annoyingly demand better.
Two weeks ago the federal workers union urged Schumer to reject the GOP funding bill. Schumer instead led Dems to surrender. And then Trump escalated his attacks. Inexcusable and unforgivable.
"IFPTE condemns in the strongest possible terms the Trump Administration's clearly illegal attempt to eliminate collective bargaining rights for hundreds of thousands of federal workers, including thousands of IFPTE-represented members."
www.ifpte.org/news/ifpte-c...
Congratulations to everyone who said Trump was "pro-worker," he just gutted federal workers' bargaining rights, tore up their contracts and effectively decertified nearly every federal union. www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/...
